Anderson da Costa's late challenge caught a Guaporanga EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anderson da Costa helped the player get up and apologised. Anderson da Costa hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. But to his dismay, Flavinho Mattos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 37th minute Flavinho Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Guaporanga EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
