Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dráuzio Massa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Dráuzio Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, THE dogs's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Luís Cerezo came free, but Jorginho de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duda Sabóia charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duda Sabóia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th minute, Sílvio Luís Cerezo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pontinhas EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ernesto Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho de Castro having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Luís Cerezo in the 26th minute of play forced THE dogs's goalkeeper Jorginho de Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, THE dogs's Toninho Romero got a free kick in the 29th minute. THE dogs's Jorginho de Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio Massa in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute Ernesto Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 minutes, Enio Tande mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pontinhas EC and the THE dogs players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, Pontinhas EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enio Tande to maneuver through the defense. After 33 played minutes, THE dogs's Baltazar Dantas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Robinho Moreira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in THE dogs reached it. The throw-in from Túlio Quintal in the 35th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by THE dogs's Baltazar Vinhas. Robinho Moreira came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by THE dogs's José Augusto Fontes. But to his dismay, José Augusto Fontes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 43 played minutes THE dogs got a freekick which was hit by Duda Sabóia. THE dogs's Baltazar Vinhas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Túlio Quintal in the 45 minute of the game. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Toninho Romero was the one to do the kick off. 1-2 became the score in the 53rd minute when Ernesto Meirelles elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Túlio Quintal made in the 58th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Dráuzio Massa immediately put the ball in play. 59 minutes into the match, THE dogs's goal looked a bit too open when Dráuzio Massa came free, but Jorginho de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Meirelles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Jorginho de Castro made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Romero in the 65th minute of play forced Pontinhas EC's goalkeeper Robinho Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Pontinhas EC's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Romero came free, but Robinho Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pontinhas EC's Jairo Silva managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cristóvão Oliveira in the 73 minute of the game. In the 74th minute, Toninho Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sílvio Luís Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sílvio Luís Cerezo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 78th playminute. Toninho Romero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robinho Moreira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Meirelles in the 90th minute of play forced THE dogs's goalkeeper Jorginho de Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Pontinhas EC booed when THE dogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltazar Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dráuzio Massa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jorginho de Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Pontinhas EC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pontinhas EC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
