Spectators: 6439 (Terracing: 5429, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 10) When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Eliseu Valladares sped through Ipiabas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jarbas Salgado. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulão Azevedo in the 10th minute of play forced Ipiabas's goalkeeper Jarbas Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulão Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Jarbas Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Ipiabas's goal looked a bit too open when Paulão Azevedo came free, but Jarbas Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ipiabas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pedrinho das Neves was slow to take the kick. During this time C.A. AMERICANA's players had a chance to rest. In the 16th match minute, Ipiabas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Peres to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliseu Valladares in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jarbas Salgado saved Ipiabas from getting behind. If Paulão Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otávio Figueiredo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gino Arósio in the 20th minute. Ipiabas's Jarbas Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Valladares in the 30th minute of play. C.A. AMERICANA's Paulão Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jarbas Salgado came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by C.A. AMERICANA's Eliseu Valladares. But to his dismay, Eliseu Valladares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Jarbas Salgado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulão Azevedo went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Eliseu Valladares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jarbas Salgado was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulão Azevedo in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jarbas Salgado saved Ipiabas from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Eliseu Valladares put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Jarbas Salgado. After the first half C.A. AMERICANA were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ipiabas's Jarbas Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Valladares in the 55th minute of play. Jarbas Salgado made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Paulão Azevedo sent off a good shot on target. 60 minutes into the match, Ipiabas's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseu Valladares came free, but Jarbas Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 61 minutes of play, C.A. AMERICANA's Eliseu Valladares made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jarbas Salgado was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Gino Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Ipiabas's goalkeeper Jarbas Salgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulão Azevedo. Otávio Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Peres in the 69th minute of play. Jarbas Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Valladares in the 71st minute of play. Paulão Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Otávio Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gláuber Dante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulão Azevedo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Jarbas Salgado skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 87 minutes into the game, Eliseu Valladares recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jarbas Salgado. Eliseu Valladares showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. 93 minutes in the game, Eliseu Valladares fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jarbas Salgado having to interfere. When Paulão Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the C.A. AMERICANA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulão Azevedo couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 98 minutes, Eliseu Valladares took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Jarbas Salgado to make any attempt to save it.
