Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Wesley Sampaio took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Abras FC booed when Recife Pe. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmyr Donato didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdomiro Passos hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After 7 minutes of play, Abras FC's Charles Loyola made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chicão Meira was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wesley Sampaio during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Recife Pe. booed when Abras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wesley Sampaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Enio Furlan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Recife Pe.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Enio Furlan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Eduardo Velasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enio Furlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the game, Recife Pe.'s Antônio de Souza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antônio de Souza took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Eduardo Velasco. Carlos Eduardo Velasco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Luiz Gustavo Capixaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Eduardo Velasco having to interfere. Recife Pe.'s Chicão Meira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Recife Pe. from getting a goal against them. After having played for 41 minutes, Luiz Gustavo Capixaba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Recife Pe.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Gustavo Capixaba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manfredo Breckenfeld in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chicão Meira saved Recife Pe. from getting behind. Recife Pe.'s Chicão Meira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfredo Breckenfeld in the 84th minute of play. After 85 played minutes Recife Pe. got a freekick which was hit by Paulão Zonta. Wesley Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Enio Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Walmyr Donato hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Recife Pe.'s goal looked a bit too open when Manfredo Breckenfeld came free, but Chicão Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulão Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Carlos Eduardo Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Recife Pe. played a much better game than Abras FC and deserved their victory. The Abras FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
