The referee ignored Sauia SS's protests and gave Nicolas de Salles a yellow card for diving instead. Nicolas de Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Sauia SS's goalkeeper Noel da Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gino Valadares. In the 12th minute, Gino Valadares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S. E. Grifone fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Noel da Cunha made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when David Magalhães sent off a good shot on target. Cauã de Amaral had several of the Sauia SS's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 16 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Noel da Cunha as he didn't even see the shot coming. Belchior Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Noel da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Noel da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauã de Amaral in the 20th minute of play. Luciano Lucas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicolas de Salles went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Breno Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Lucas having to interfere. Cauã de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Noel da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Noel da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cauã de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cauã de Amaral did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-1 to the left of a surprised Noel da Cunha 38 minutes into the match. Noel da Cunha was a little too slow when Cauã de Amaral got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 4-1. Belchior Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Nicolas de Salles made the kick off in the second half. If Cauã de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Noel da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belchior Pitta, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Noel da Cunha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cauã de Amaral went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Sauia SS's Noel da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belchior Pitta in the 66th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sauia SS's zone, Cauã de Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noel da Cunha came out of the goal and Cauã de Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Noel da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belchior Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When S. E. Grifone's Cauã de Amaral in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sauia SS's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvério Baptista in the 90th minute of play forced Sauia SS's goalkeeper Noel da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Noel da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cauã de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. A collision led to Sauia SS getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Nicolas de Salles hit a great ball.
