Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivan Štefánik in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Durval Paraibano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ivan Štefánik who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Durval Paraibano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ivan Štefánik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdinand Connelly received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Durval Paraibano came out and tried to block the shot, but Ferdinand Connelly slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 23rd minute. In the 28th minute of the match, Ivan Štefánik got a very nice opportunity to score, but Durval Paraibano was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Ariau's zone, Ferdinand Connelly stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durval Paraibano came out of the goal and Ferdinand Connelly tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute, Edu da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the game, Ivan Štefánik lined in a short shot 4-0 behind a frustrated Durval Paraibano. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivan Štefánik was the one to do the kick off. The Pendurao fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Pendurao's Ivan Štefánik looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 58th match minute, Ariau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doriva Recife to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the match, Ariau's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinand Connelly came free, but Durval Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 62 minutes, Tibúrcio Pombal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ariau and the Pendurao players grew even worse after the yellow card. 67 minutes into the game, Pendurao's Ivan Štefánik nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Durval Paraibano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Durval Paraibano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ivan Štefánik's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. If Doriva Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdinand Connelly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Paraibano having to interfere. Durval Paraibano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinand Connelly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Pendurao players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
