Ricardo Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Muruja's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Pombal came free, but Ricardo Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Nuno Miranda fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Muruja's protests and gave Nuno Miranda a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ribeirao FC booed when Muruja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marcelo Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcus de Brito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Guedes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Ricardo Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Pombal in the 91st minute of the match. Marcelo Pombal got in the 91st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Ricardo Guedes handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar.
