Frank Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus de Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The S B O Canoinhas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frank Rezende should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Marcus de Brito made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcus de Brito in the 56th managed to get into a good position. S B O Canoinhas FC's Frank Rezende tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 70 minutes into the match, S B O Canoinhas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus de Brito came free, but Frank Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Marcus de Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frank Rezende was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. In the 77th minute Marcelo Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean Porto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Igor Alcântara showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 78 minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Miguel Velloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jean Porto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
