Frederico Maciel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Cristiano Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otávio de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Otávio Aguiar might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frederico Maciel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Otávio Aguiar ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Vinhatico getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Otávio Aguiar hit a great ball. Vinhatico's Otávio Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Vinhatico's Laércio Peixoto got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After 26 minutes of play, Vinhatico's Egon Rolandsson made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frederico Maciel was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Vinhatico's Cristiano Silveira got control of the ball when Otávio de Almeida tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute Bebeto Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Timoteo's goal looked a bit too open when Olavo Recife came free, but Frederico Maciel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Otávio de Almeida got free with Cristiano Silveira in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frederico Maciel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otávio Aguiar in the 39th minute of the match. Cristiano Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bebeto Goiano in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute of the match, Otávio de Almeida got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cristiano Silveira was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Vinhatico's Osvald Moberg got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Vinhatico's Cristiano Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bebeto Goiano in the 47th minute of play. The Timoteo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vinhatico were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bebeto Goiano made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Timoteo got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Trigo. After having played for 54 minutes, Gernando de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vinhatico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gernando de Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frederico Maciel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Otávio Aguiar's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Timoteo's Frederico Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otávio Aguiar in the 58th minute of play. Frederico Maciel was a little too slow when Otávio Aguiar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 0-3. Cristiano Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laerte Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tarcisio Chaves scored 1-3 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristiano Silveira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Laerte Breckenfeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Silveira having to interfere. Cristiano Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bebeto Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vinhatico's Cristiano Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bebeto Goiano in the 76th minute of play. Frederico Maciel was a little too slow when Gernando de Queiroz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otávio de Almeida in the 80th minute of play forced Vinhatico's goalkeeper Cristiano Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Vinhatico's Otávio Aguiar in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Timoteo's goalie prevented a goal. Otávio Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederico Maciel having to interfere. The Timoteo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Vinhatico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
