The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pajou EC. In the 28th minute, Tião Custódio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Zé Paulo Pontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zororo's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Paulo Pontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Telmo Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Roberto Lara in the 33rd minute of play forced Pajou EC's goalkeeper Telmo Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Roberto Lara might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Telmo Amaral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Roberto Lara ran back to his position shaking his head. Telmo Amaral made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Zé Paulo Pontes sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute Zé Roberto Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th match minute, Zororo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Paulo Travassos to maneuver through the defense. Pajou EC's Cristian Donatello couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 70th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Zororo.
