Falcão Coutinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benê Araújo in the 12th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Cristian Marques was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Almenara SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tapuirama the free kick. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tapuirama's goalkeeper Adrianinho Loyola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmyr Massa in the 24th minute of play forced Tapuirama's goalkeeper Adrianinho Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murilo Paranaense in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adrianinho Loyola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute, Walmyr Massa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amadeu de Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. If Walmyr Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 47 minutes, Murilo Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almenara SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murilo Paranaense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Murilo Paranaense to make the kick off. Murilo Paranaense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Adrianinho Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adrianinho Loyola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Marques in the 83rd minute. Amadeu de Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. The supporters of Almenara SS booed when Tapuirama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd match minute, Tapuirama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Berger to maneuver through the defense. In the 98thth minute of the game Murilo Paranaense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tapuirama's Adrianinho Loyola was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Almenara SS played a much better game than Tapuirama and deserved their victory. The Tapuirama players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
