When Válbson Reis fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mataripua SC's protests and gave Válbson Reis a yellow card for diving instead. Válbson Reis hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrício Moreno in the 66th minute of play forced Empire Football Club's goalkeeper Pedrinho Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
