Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Walmir Leme kicked off to start the match. In the 6th minute Walmir Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Cariacica booed when Crisolita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fellipe Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Walmir Leme in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abelardo Messias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 25 minutes of play Crisolita's Fellipe Pena was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 26th minute, Fellipe Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walmir Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Messias having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Macedo in the 31st minute of play forced Crisolita's goalkeeper Abelardo Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abelardo Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falcão Rocha in the 32nd minute of play. Alfredinho Montenegro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osmar Mesquita in the 36th minute. After 38 minutes, Osmar Mesquita mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crisolita and the Cariacica players grew even worse after the yellow card. Osmar Mesquita hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Walmir Leme might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abelardo Messias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Walmir Leme ran back to his position shaking his head. Crisolita's Abelardo Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Macedo in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dário Ramalho to strike the kick off in the second half. Dário Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th match minute, Cariacica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Severo to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Crisolita's Abelardo Messias got control of the ball when Leandro Macedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Leme in the 66th minute of play forced Crisolita's goalkeeper Abelardo Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Walmir Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Crisolita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cariacica the free kick.
