Percival Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Bebeto Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jefferson Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Antunes having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Cachorrinho FC's Jonathan Lira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cipriano Antunes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cipriano Antunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonathan Lira went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Cipriano Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Lira in the 16th minute of the match. Cipriano Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Jefferson Marinho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Cipriano Antunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chagas's goalkeeper Cipriano Antunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Chagas's Cipriano Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Quaresma in the 39th minute of play. Jefferson Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Cipriano Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45thth minute of the game Jonathan Lira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chagas's Cipriano Antunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Percival Velloso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chagas's supporters rose to their feet, but Percival Velloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bebeto Gaspar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Bebeto Gaspar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Augusto Carioca, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. If Percival Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Antunes having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Pedro Augusto Carioca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Lira struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Cipriano Antunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cachorrinho FC. After having played for 75 minutes, Jefferson Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cachorrinho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jefferson Marinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute of the match, Jonathan Lira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cipriano Antunes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jefferson Marinho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Cipriano Antunes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 83 minutes into the match, Cachorrinho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Percival Velloso came free, but Bebeto Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Chagas's goalkeeper Cipriano Antunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jefferson Marinho. After a defensive mix-up in Chagas's zone, Jonathan Lira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cipriano Antunes came out of the goal and Jonathan Lira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cachorrinho FC played a much better game than Chagas and deserved their victory. The Chagas players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
