S.E.Verdades's Tiaguinho Gaúcho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save S.E.Verdades from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in S.E.Verdades's zone, Moisés Palmeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiaguinho Gaúcho came out of the goal and Moisés Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Faron Balsera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 28 minutes of play, Universitario EC's João Francisco Dracena made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiaguinho Gaúcho was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, S.E.Verdades's Tiaguinho Gaúcho got control of the ball when Moisés Palmeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tiaguinho Gaúcho was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Faron Balsera showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 45 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Cafu Pitta in the 52nd minute of play forced Universitario EC's goalkeeper Edgar Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. S.E.Verdades's Tiaguinho Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faron Balsera in the 57th minute of play. After 59 minutes, Faron Balsera made it 5-2 with a short kick to the right side. S.E.Verdades's Tiaguinho Gaúcho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 64th minute, Wiliam de Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dida Mandrak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Edgar Meira made a huge save. If Moisés Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, S.E.Verdades's goal looked a bit too open when Faron Balsera came free, but Tiaguinho Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moisés Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Universitario EC made a substitution. Tiaguinho Gaúcho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Faron Balsera went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 6-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of S.E.Verdades booed when Universitario EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 6-3 when Dida Mandrak sped through Universitario EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edgar Meira.
