Spectators: 6409 (Terracing: 5409, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Leonel Trancoso made the kick off which started today's match. After some careless play in the Papagaio defense, Osmar Araújo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wesley Vergílio. The Papagaio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wesley Vergílio should have stopped the shot. Benjamim Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wesley Vergílio came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Miraluz EC's Leonel Trancoso. But to his dismay, Leonel Trancoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 23rd minute, Benjamim Nogueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th minute, Túlio Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute, Benjamim Nogueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Papagaio's Wesley Vergílio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamim Nogueira in the 28th minute of play. Wesley Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Miraluz EC's zone, Telmo Duarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrézinho Freire came out of the goal and Telmo Duarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Miraluz EC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Telmo Duarte made the kick off in the second half. 64 minutes into the match, Papagaio's goalkeeper Wesley Vergílio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamim Nogueira. Valdomiro Andrade took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wesley Vergílio. Papagaio's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Leonel Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miraluz EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonel Trancoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wesley Vergílio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miraluz EC's Benjamim Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonel Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the match, Papagaio's goalkeeper Wesley Vergílio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamim Nogueira. Benjamim Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute Leonel Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wesley Vergílio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonel Trancoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Leonel Trancoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wesley Vergílio was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Leonel Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Wesley Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Miraluz EC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Papagaio throughout the match.
