If Abelardo Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, Atlético Maneiro Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Tomé Severo came free, but Richard Diniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abelardo Goiano charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abelardo Goiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute, Abelardo Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodriguinho Batista stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Paraibano's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcelo Paraibano to make the kick off. Igor Cruz might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodriguinho Batista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelo Paraibano's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Rodriguinho Batista skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomé Severo in the 68th minute of play forced Atlético Maneiro Fc's goalkeeper Richard Diniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomé Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Diniz having to interfere. Atlético Maneiro Fc's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
