In the 11th minute, Rodolfo Simão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The WEICAR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 17 minutes of play, WEICAR's Chico do Vale made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nuno Leite was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 21st minute, Rodolfo Simão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nuno Leite was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Nuno Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico do Vale in the 24th minute of the match. After 25 minutes of play, WEICAR's Douglas Paranaense made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nuno Leite was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nuno Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico do Vale in the 29th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maurício Rodrigues got free with Cevdet Beren in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 31 played minutes WEICAR got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Simão. Chico do Vale scored 0-7 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nuno Leite, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Nike Brasil getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Marcelo de Lima hit a great ball. Edmundo Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Simão, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 46 minutes into the match, Walmir Travassos notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Nike Brasil's Nuno Leite. Nuno Leite was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Nike Brasil players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. WEICAR were winning 0-8.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodolfo Simão made a kick off. Cevdet Beren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurício Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Nuno Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nike Brasil's Nuno Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar de Brito in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute Gilmar de Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Nike Brasil defense, Gilmar de Brito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nuno Leite. The Nike Brasil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nuno Leite should have stopped the shot. Rodolfo Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With 67 minutes on the clock, Zé Paulo Cruz commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nike Brasil fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! Nike Brasil's Nuno Leite proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Nike Brasil from getting a goal against them. In the 84th minute, WEICAR's Beto de Carvalho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nuno Leite. Nuno Leite yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-11. Nuno Leite made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chico do Vale in the 88th minute. After 93 played minutes WEICAR got a freekick which was hit by Gilmar de Brito. In the 98th minute, Walmir Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
