Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Denílson Ferreira took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raí Rodrigues during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th minute, Raí Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute, one of Emboscada:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Emboscada. Ciro Pernambucano had in the 8thth minute some difficulties stopping Thiago de Toledo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denílson Ferreira in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jairo Pitta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ciro Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horácio Fernandes in the 12th minute of the match. Dalmo Eger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Ciro Pernambucano made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Emboscada's Raí Rodrigues got a free kick in the 15th minute. Ciro Pernambucano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luís Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enrique Carioca hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After 19 minutes of play Emboscada's Raí Rodrigues was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Emboscada getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Raí Rodrigues hit a great ball. With a little luck, Emboscada's Ciro Pernambucano got control of the ball when Dalmo Eger tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emboscada's Ciro Pernambucano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luís Ramos in the 22nd minute of play. Dalmo Eger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Ciro Pernambucano made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Emboscada's Denílson Ferreira got a free kick in the 25th minute. Ciro Pernambucano made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Dalmo Eger sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th minute, Enrique Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dalmo Eger succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 34th playminute. After having played for 41 minutes, Samuel Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Emboscada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Paraibano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Emboscada's zone, Nilmar Veiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciro Pernambucano came out of the goal and Nilmar Veiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the game, Emboscada's Claudinei Cerezo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jairo Pitta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Norberto Porto to make the kick off. Claudinei Cerezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Jairo Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, Emboscada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Ciro Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandrinho Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Jairo Pitta was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Samuel Paraibano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Samuel Paraibano really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. 68 minutes into the game, Dalmo Eger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brasilandia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Emboscada the free kick. After 68 played minutes Brasilandia FC got a freekick which was hit by Dalmo Eger. Ciro Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Fernandes in the 75th minute of play. Claudinei Cerezo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jairo Pitta having to make a save. Emboscada's Ciro Pernambucano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luís Ramos in the 81st minute of play. Samuel Loyola charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Emboscada's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
