After 18 minutes, Agostinho Aparecido mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Praia SS and the Ipuera AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Praia SS's Rodriguinho Carioca got a free kick in the 59th minute. Sidnei Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Galvão in the 70th minute of play. Luiz Fernando Valadares kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match.
