In the 10th minute, Enrique Pontes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MitoleirosFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The supporters of MitoleirosFC booed when Flamengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to MitoleirosFC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Luís Fábio Peixoto hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the game, Gilmar Sampaio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flamengo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MitoleirosFC the free kick. In the 18th minute, Gilmar Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jardel Messias got free with João Adolfo Damião in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jardel Messiass short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got João Adolfo Damião to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Flamengo getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Enéas de Amorim hit a great ball. If Orlando de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jardel Messias in the 36th minute of play forced Flamengo's goalkeeper João Adolfo Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Mathias Barbosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tião Pernambucano to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Flamengo got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Barbosa. Jardel Messias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Adolfo Damião read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. The corner ended in André Luiz do Valle almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Flamengo's João Adolfo Damião did a great save. 57 minutes into the match, Flamengo's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Messias came free, but João Adolfo Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Adolfo Damião stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jardel Messias's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. MitoleirosFC's Jardel Messias got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Enrique Pontes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Adolfo Damião read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jardel Messias in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Adolfo Damião prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Adolfo Damião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jardel Messias, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. When MitoleirosFC's Jardel Messias in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Flamengo's goalie prevented a goal. 70 minutes into the match, Flamengo's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Messias came free, but João Adolfo Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led MitoleirosFC's André Luiz do Valle to fire away a dangerous shot which João Adolfo Damião despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Orlando de Queiroz struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Walmir do Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flamengo. João Adolfo Damião made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Vítor Urbano in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Mathias Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of MitoleirosFC booed when Flamengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute of the match Cléber Penha sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Adolfo Damião skillfully saved the ball. When MitoleirosFC's Jardel Messias in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Flamengo's goalie prevented a goal. Flamengo's João Adolfo Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléber Penha in the 87th minute of play. João Vítor Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When MitoleirosFC's Jardel Messias in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Flamengo's goalie prevented a goal. In the 96th minute, Cléber Penha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee ended the match the MitoleirosFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
