Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The tension between the Santos FC and the AD Iguatu players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th minute, Agnaldo Terra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santos FC's Ulisses Lopez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Santos FC from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the match, AD Iguatu's Adalberto Favoretto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulisses Lopez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 17 minutes into the game, Agnaldo Terra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ulisses Lopez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Agnaldo Terra in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ulisses Lopez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Agnaldo Terra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Ulisses Lopez made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalberto Favoretto in the 22nd minute of play forced Santos FC's goalkeeper Ulisses Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulisses Lopez came out of the goal and Adalberto Favoretto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agnaldo Terra scored 3-0 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulisses Lopez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Faustão de Salles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ulisses Lopez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agnaldo Terra, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. A collision led to Santos FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Juninho Nogueira hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the game, Carlos Duarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AD Iguatu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santos FC the free kick. In the 61st match minute, AD Iguatu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Faustão de Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Santos FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Almir Tepedino hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, AD Iguatu's Agnaldo Terra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulisses Lopez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Santos FC's Ulisses Lopez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalberto Favoretto in the 71st minute of play. After 72 minutes of play Santos FC's Juninho Nogueira was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Juninho Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Agnaldo Terra managed to get in a good position for a shot. AD Iguatu's supporters rose to their feet, but Agnaldo Terra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulisses Lopez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute, Adalberto Favoretto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulisses Lopez was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. When AD Iguatu's Agnaldo Terra in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santos FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 84 minutes of play Santos FC's Almir Tepedino was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Almir Tepedino hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Adalberto Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulisses Lopez having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. AD Iguatu fully deserved thier win.
