The crowd rose to their feet as Ferreiro's Caio Fontes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zeca Pinho. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. Wilian Linhares's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Zeca Pinho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caio Fontes in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeca Pinho saved ARAGUAINA FC from getting behind. If Fabiano Vianna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adalberto Oliveira's late challenge caught a ARAGUAINA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adalberto Oliveira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th minute, Adalberto Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caio Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Zeca Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeca Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caio Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Caio Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wilian Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Pinho having to interfere. In the 41st minute Caio Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caio Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Márcio Correia made a kick off. Caio Fontes might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zeca Pinho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caio Fontes ran back to his position shaking his head. If Caio Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 60 minutes, Caio Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferreiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caio Fontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Ferreiro fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Ferreiro's Wilian Linhares looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Caio Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Pinho having to interfere. After a rather tough play, ARAGUAINA FC's Fernandão Lopes got a free kick in the 68th minute. Wilian Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeca Pinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Caio Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zé Roberto Tasso during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, ARAGUAINA FC's Zé Roberto Tasso got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 91stth minute of the game Caio Fontes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ARAGUAINA FC's Zeca Pinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee ended the match the Ferreiro players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
