Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edson Domingues kicked off to start the match. Márcio Trigo was a little too slow when Edson Domingues got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. Márcio Trigo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silas de Sena in the 7th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamim Baptista during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Bitaculo AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamim Baptista to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Emboscada SC booed when Bitaculo AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulysses Loyola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hélder Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Andrézinho Mello came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Bitaculo AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrézinho Mello couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edson Domingues in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Márcio Trigo saved Bitaculo AD from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrézinho Mello in the 30th minute of play forced Emboscada SC's goalkeeper Roberto Vander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Emboscada SC's Silas de Sena got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Bitaculo AD's Márcio Trigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Bitaculo AD from getting a goal against them. Márcio Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edson Domingues in the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrézinho Mello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Roberto Vander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrézinho Mello in the 51st minute. After 52 minutes, Patrick Mendonça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bitaculo AD and the Emboscada SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bitaculo AD's Márcio Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silas de Sena in the 55th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Emboscada SC got a freekick which was hit by Fabinho Romero. Andrézinho Mello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Roberto Vander made a huge save. In the 66th minute, Edson Domingues made a precise shot to the right of Márcio Trigo. Bitaculo AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Silas de Sena hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute Edson Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulysses Loyola hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 77th match minute, Emboscada SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto de Salles to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Emboscada SC's Roberto Vander got control of the ball when Andrézinho Mello tried to sneak it across the goal line. Many of Bitaculo AD's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Bitaculo AD may have spent more time on the ball, but Emboscada SC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
