An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurinho Cavalcante in the 14th minute of play forced Guaraipo's goalkeeper Diguinho Ceresso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardinho de Brito might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diguinho Ceresso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardinho de Brito ran back to his position shaking his head. Guaraipo's Diguinho Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Rosado in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Guaraipo's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardinho de Brito came free, but Diguinho Ceresso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Guaraipo's zone, Bruno Nóbrega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diguinho Ceresso came out of the goal and Bruno Nóbrega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute, Genílson Leme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diguinho Ceresso came out and tried to block the shot, but Wilson Trancoso slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 46th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nelson Fontes to make the kick off. Diguinho Ceresso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bernardinho de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Diguinho Ceresso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute Rafa Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Guaraipo getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Genílson Leme hit a great ball. Sandro Ramos hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Juventus Football Club's Vicente Campidelis got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Marcos Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilson Trancoso in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diguinho Ceresso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wiliam Trevisan kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Marcos Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juventus Football Club walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
