Brasa Escola De Craques's Claudinho Botelho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Brasa Escola De Craques from getting a goal against them. Claudinho Botelho didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 8th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Pedrão de Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. The supporters of Cordilheira booed when Brasa Escola De Craques was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Cordilheira's Haroldo Prata ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Claudinho Botelho. Claudinho Botelho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percy Gerber in the 28th minute of play forced Brasa Escola De Craques's goalkeeper Claudinho Botelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedrão de Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Angelo Montaña received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Claudinho Botelho came out and tried to block the shot, but Angelo Montaña slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 31st minute. Brasa Escola De Craques's Claudinho Botelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vágner Lara in the 36th minute of play. Adrianinho Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquinhos de Mendonça in the 37th minute of the match. Brasa Escola De Craques's Claudinho Botelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Prata in the 43rd minute of play. Pedrão de Amaral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Claudinho Botelho made a huge save. If Aleandro Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aleandro Monteiro made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Cordilheira's Alfredo de Mendonça got a free kick in the 51st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Brasa Escola De Craques's zone, Percy Gerber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Botelho came out of the goal and Percy Gerber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cordilheira's Haroldo Prata got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brasa Escola De Craques's Claudinho Botelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrão de Amaral in the 63rd minute of play. Aleandro Monteiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adrianinho Mota read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Cordilheira's Pedrão de Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, Vágner Lara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudinho Botelho. Brasa Escola De Craques's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vágner Lara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Claudinho Botelho came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Cordilheira's Vágner Lara. But to his dismay, Vágner Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After some careless play in the Brasa Escola De Craques defense, Vágner Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudinho Botelho. The Brasa Escola De Craques fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudinho Botelho should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cordilheira had won after a very even match.
