An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Rossi in the 11th minute of play forced Santissimo FC's goalkeeper Conrado Ceresso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perivaldo Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrézinho Borges having to interfere. After having played for 16 minutes, Paulo José França managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galo Montes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo José França was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Conrado Ceresso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emílio Rossi went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Paulo José França kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After 25 played minutes Galo Montes got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Baptista. In the 26th minute, Santissimo FC's Perivaldo Rossi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Andrézinho Borges. Andrézinho Borges yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. If Perivaldo Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Santissimo FC's Lenílson Pires got a free kick in the 34th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Luiz Guilherme Ortiz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Conrado Ceresso. Santissimo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Guilherme Ortiz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Conrado Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Rossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Emílio Rossi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galo Montes's supporters rose to their feet, but Emílio Rossi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conrado Ceresso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Conrado Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Rossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Conrado Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme Ortiz in the 48th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nelsinho de Brito was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Galo Montes got a freekick which was hit by Falcão de Souza. In the 70th minute, Emílio Rossi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Galo Montes booed when Santissimo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vito Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Galo Montes's Carlos Eduardo Monteiro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 75th minute. Luiz Guilherme Ortiz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Conrado Ceresso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Emílio Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Conrado Ceresso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nelsinho de Brito in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrézinho Borges saved Galo Montes from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Rossi in the 95th minute of play forced Santissimo FC's goalkeeper Conrado Ceresso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Galo Montes players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
