André Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramón Nóbrega in the 17th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Piquiri AD's Ramón Nóbrega slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of André Baiano. That made the score 2-0 after 20 minutes of play. When Christian Barros fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piquiri AD's protests and gave Christian Barros a yellow card for diving instead. Christian Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Ipiabas's André Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Nóbrega in the 29th minute of play. When Ramón Nóbrega came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Piquiri AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramón Nóbrega couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Ipiabas getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Jardel Zonta hit a great ball. Valério Paraense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Piquiri AD's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Paiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Ipiabas's Valério Paraense in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jardel Zonta couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute, Valério Paraense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 91 minutes into the game, Jean Freitas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piquiri AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ipiabas the free kick. Ipiabas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
