Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vicente Cearense started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Leme in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquim Simão saved Golden Boys from getting behind. Miguel Leme spun around in front of the goal 9 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Golden Boys's goal. Cássio Cunha hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute Raphael Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Miguel Leme cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Joaquim Simão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 25thth minute of the game Miguel Leme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Golden Boys's Joaquim Simão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Irelia SC fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Irelia SC's Miguel Leme looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Irelia SC's Pedro Mazza got a free kick in the 38th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Miguel Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Simão having to interfere. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 54th minute, but Joaquim Simão got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Golden Boys hanging dry this time. After 55 minutes Golden Boys's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maurinho de Almeida who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Irelia SC's Maurinho de Almeida to fire away a dangerous shot which Joaquim Simão despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 71 minutes into the game, Dino Trigo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Irelia SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golden Boys the free kick. A collision led to Irelia SC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Dino Trigo hit a great ball. When Golden Boys's Vicente Cearense in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Irelia SC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 76th minute of the match Golden Boys got a corner. Irelia SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adalberto Costa ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Golden Boys's Vicente Cearense to fire away a dangerous shot which Delfim Porto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Walmyr Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Golden Boys booed when Irelia SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Golden Boys's zone, Magno Terra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Simão came out of the goal and Magno Terra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The long shot by Maurinho de Almeida in the 88th minute really tested Joaquim Simão's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Leme got free with Joaquim Simão in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Irelia SC booed when Golden Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Irelia SC's Maurinho de Almeida broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Irelia SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
