The Sarutai EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 14th minute, Edson Saldanha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Luiz Fabiano Maciel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilson Saraiva. Pindobacu FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Fabiano Maciel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Gilson Saraiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fabiano Maciel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Luiz Fabiano Maciel notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Pindobacu FC's Gilson Saraiva. Noel de Almeida scored 1-5 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gilson Saraiva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edson Saldanha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Eriberto Reynero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Luiz Fabiano Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Fabiano Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When Edson Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Pindobacu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edson Saldanha couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute Higinio Indartsu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurinho Moreira during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 85th match minute, Pindobacu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurinho Moreira to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Pindobacu FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Eduardo Araújo hit a great ball. Gilson Saraiva made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Higinio Indartsu sent off a good shot on target. If Luís Fabiano Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sarutai EC played a much better game than Pindobacu FC and deserved their victory. The Pindobacu FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
