Igor Honesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Machado having to interfere. Igor Honesto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Machado having to make a save. Carlos Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Honesto in the 14th minute of play. Carlos Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Honesto in the 16th minute of the match. Isabela Futebol Clube's Agnaldo Abreu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Isabela Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Jejui AD - U23's Carlos Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Honesto in the 28th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Isabela Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Fernandez. The long shot by Ediberto Amaral in the 30th minute really tested Agnaldo Abreu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Jejui AD - U23's Gláuber Vargas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Agnaldo Abreu. That made the score 1-0 after 32 minutes of play. Carlos Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Honesto in the 39th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Igor Honesto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 58 minutes, Adhemar da Rocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Isabela Futebol Clube and the Jejui AD - U23 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Isabela Futebol Clube's Adhemar da Rocha got a free kick in the 58th minute. Agnaldo Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gláuber Vargas in the 81st minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Igor Honesto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Machado. Jejui AD - U23's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Igor Honesto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. When the match was over Isabela Futebol Clube could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Jejui AD - U23 throughout the match.
