Thomás Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Matorin having to interfere. Emerson Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Cipriano Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Thomás Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Bicanca SC booed when Falidos Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Acácio Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Emerson Dracena came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Bicanca SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emerson Dracena couldn't finish the play. After 28 minutes of play, Bicanca SC's Emerson Dracena made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cipriano Salgado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Moraes in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cipriano Salgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bicanca SC's Jairo Matorin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Madureira in the 33rd minute of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Falidos Futebol Clube's Orlando Madureira in the 35th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Jairo Matorin was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Bicanca SC through an amazing save. Orlando Madureira struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Jairo Matorin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Falidos Futebol Clube. In the 40th minute of the match, Orlando Madureira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jairo Matorin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Jorginho Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orlando Madureira made a kick off. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bicanca SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Humberto Schmidt was slow to take the kick. During this time Falidos Futebol Clube's players had a chance to rest. Falidos Futebol Clube's Thomás Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes into the game, Emerson Dracena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Cipriano Salgado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Thomás Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thomás Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Jairo Matorin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cipriano Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Moraes did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Cipriano Salgado 75 minutes into the match. Fernandinho Valladares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81stth minute of the game Orlando Madureira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bicanca SC's Jairo Matorin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Humberto Schmidt charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Humberto Schmidt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 85 played minutes Falidos Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Schmidt. Emerson Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Salgado having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Bicanca SC's goal looked a bit too open when Thomás Martins came free, but Jairo Matorin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
