AZ Falcons's Cipriano Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Azevedo in the 20th minute of play. Cipriano Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durvalino Dracena in the 22nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Durvalino Dracena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cipriano Perez was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. The AZ Falcons players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
