Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Traru's Paulão Hoffmann started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8thth minute of the game Roberto Sabóia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Buracao's Armando Marinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Custódio Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Paulão Hoffmann came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Traru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulão Hoffmann couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Buracao booed when Traru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauan de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Raúl Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buracao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raúl Magalhães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armando Marinho made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Custódio Tepedino sent off a good shot on target. Christian Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Perez having to interfere. When Guilherme Mangueira came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Traru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guilherme Mangueira couldn't finish the play. When Chiquinho Matos fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buracao's protests and gave Chiquinho Matos a yellow card for diving instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Cardoso to make the kick off. A collision led to Traru getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Amadeu Magalhães hit a great ball. Raúl Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Richard Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Luiz Fernando Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raúl Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armando Marinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulão Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donato Peixoto hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Raúl Magalhães's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richard Perez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Armando Marinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Custódio Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Traru's Paulão Hoffmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armando Marinho narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
