The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of Quirimbuquer:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Profeta EC:s goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leopoldo Pinho in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gil Pereira saved Profeta EC from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Humberto Guedes in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leopoldo Rosa saved Quirimbuquer from getting behind. Quirimbuquer's Leopoldo Rosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Rocha in the 19th minute of play. After 21 played minutes Profeta EC got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo Hames. Armindo Vale received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gil Pereira came out and tried to block the shot, but Armindo Vale slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 22nd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Profeta EC's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Pinho came free, but Gil Pereira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonçalo Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Leopoldo Rosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armindo Vale took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gil Pereira. Gil Pereira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After a rather tough play, Quirimbuquer's Gonçalo Pinho got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute, one of Quirimbuquer:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Quirimbuquer. Luizinho Rosado shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armindo Vale got free with Gil Pereira in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gil Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Humberto Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leopoldo Pinho was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Profeta EC got a freekick which was hit by Téo Leite. Leopoldo Rosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Rocha in the 59th minute of play. If Humberto Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gil Pereira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leopoldo Pinho went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 66th minute, Leopoldo Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Profeta EC's Gil Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Pinho in the 71st minute of play. Leopoldo Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Pereira having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Profeta EC's Benjamim de Godoy got a free kick in the 79th minute. Quirimbuquer's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
