Through an outstanding action, after 5 minutes, Cristian Meireles successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Amauri Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aracu's protests and gave Amauri Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. The audience was convinced that Laerte Oliveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alessandro Eger was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Laerte Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Alessandro Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Edmundo Damião got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Cristian Meireles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renatinho Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Norberto de Queirós's late challenge caught a Aracu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Norberto de Queirós helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to ROX F.P.A. getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Norberto de Queirós hit a great ball. A hard shot 40 in the game by Edmundo Damião from a close distance when the talented Cristian Meireles managed to make a qualified save. ROX F.P.A.'s players were relieved. Cristian Meireles made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Edmundo Damião sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Renatinho Palmeira made the kick off in the second half. Ulisses Gerber charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulisses Gerber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ulisses Gerber hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, ROX F.P.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Renatinho Palmeira came free, but Cristian Meireles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Meireles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renatinho Palmeira's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Renatinho Palmeira might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristian Meireles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Renatinho Palmeira ran back to his position shaking his head. 65 minutes into the match, Edmundo Damião notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of ROX F.P.A.'s Cristian Meireles. Cristian Meireles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 77 played minutes ROX F.P.A. got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Palmeira. Beto de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Meireles having to interfere. Aracu's Alessandro Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Prata in the 87th minute of play. In the 89thth minute of the game Edmundo Damião who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ROX F.P.A.'s Cristian Meireles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sidney Prata in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alessandro Eger saved Aracu from getting behind. Aracu's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
