In the 13th minute Cavaleiro were awarded a corner. Dráuzio de Carvalho went to the cornerflag to take it. Bruno Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernesto Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Lara in the 17th minute of the match. Ernesto Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valério Maciel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes in the game, Bruno Lara dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Angulo's Ernesto Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valério Maciel in the 25th minute of play. Valério Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ernesto Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Walmyr Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernesto Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 48th minute, Bruno Lara made a precise shot to the right of Ernesto Senna. Angulo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Walmyr Vinhas was the one to do the kick off. When Paulo Renato Gomes fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Angulo's protests and gave Paulo Renato Gomes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, one of Angulo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Angulo. When the match had been going on for 57 minutes, Cavaleiro's Dráuzio de Carvalho got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ernesto Senna. When Cavaleiro's Bruno Lara in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Angulo's goalie prevented a goal. Ernesto Senna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Valério Maciel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Ernesto Senna made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Angulo's zone, Valério Maciel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Senna came out of the goal and Valério Maciel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valério Maciel struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Ernesto Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cavaleiro. In a very dangerous position, a player in Angulo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Ernesto Senna, was totally fooled by Cavaleiro's Dráuzio de Carvalho, who 79 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Bruno Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valério Maciel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Ernesto Senna made a huge save. 86 minutes into the game, Bruno Lara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ernesto Senna. Bruno Lara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. When Bruno Lara, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 90 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ernesto Senna was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ernesto Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valério Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Senna having to interfere. When the match was over Cavaleiro could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Angulo throughout the match.
