Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tião Arantes took the kick off in the first half of the match. Eriberto Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tião Arantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th minute Tião Arantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wágner Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir Pirani having to interfere. Diguinho Pinho hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After 10 played minutes, Carice EC's Marcinho Senna shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Walmir Pirani came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carice EC reached it. Wágner Quintal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walmir Pirani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Diguinho Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, André Luís Vargas notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Canjicas EC's Walmir Pirani. Walmir Pirani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 23 played minutes Canjicas EC got a freekick which was hit by Diguinho Pinho. When Tião Arantes came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Canjicas EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tião Arantes couldn't finish the play. Fabinho de Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wágner Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Walmir Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diguinho Pinho hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Canjicas EC's Walmir Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wágner Quintal in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wágner Quintal made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luís Vargas in the 51st minute of play forced Canjicas EC's goalkeeper Walmir Pirani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wágner Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Walmir Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
