The supporters of Kington EC booed when Ibirapua AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ibirapua AD's Hélder de Lima got his second yellow card of the match in the 8th minute. The referee ordered Hélder de Lima off the ground. Amadeu Siqueira took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Maria Lago. José Maria Lago dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Antônio de Queirós kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Júnior Barros. That made the score 1-1 in the 18 minute of play. In the 21st minute, Ernani Pena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kington EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Kington EC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Silverio Amor in the 26th minute. A nice corner shot did that Antônio de Queirós got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Júnior Barros quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jefferson Vasconcelos struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. José Maria Lago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibirapua AD. Caco Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ibirapua AD's Caco Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antônio de Queirós in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Júnior Barros, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Amadeu Siqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, Antônio de Queirós was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kington EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ibirapua AD the free kick. After 40 played minutes Kington EC got a freekick which was hit by Antônio de Queirós. When Ernani Pena came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Kington EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernani Pena couldn't finish the play. Ibirapua AD's Júnior Barros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Ibirapua AD from getting a goal against them. Kington EC's Antônio de Queirós was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 45th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amadeu Siqueira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Júnior Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio de Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Behlül Erdesir kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. José Maria Lago acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 56th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jonas Leal. Ernani Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caco Garcia's late challenge caught a Kington EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caco Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes Ibirapua AD got a freekick which was hit by Caco Garcia. In the 63rd match minute, Kington EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertinho Moreno to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amadeu Siqueira got free with José Maria Lago in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 68 minutes into the match, Ibirapua AD's Amadeu Siqueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Maria Lago narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jefferson Vasconceloss short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got José Maria Lago to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Antônio de Queirós got his second yellow card in the match during the 84th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Ibirapua AD booed when Kington EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 90 minutes, Ernani Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kington EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernani Pena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caco Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ibirapua AD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kington EC.
