Jeferson do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Jeferson do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Nogueira in the 12th minute of play. Osvaldo da Mata hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 0-1 became the score in the 20th minute when Nestor Nogueira elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. IMIRIM FC's Samuca Albuquerque got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dragões da Fiel's goalkeeper Rodolfo Gaúcho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Laerte Arósio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guga Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The IMIRIM FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Dragões da Fiel were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Délio Varela was the one to do the kick off. Délio Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcinho Massa might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeferson do Vale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcinho Massa ran back to his position shaking his head. Dragões da Fiel's Laerte Arósio got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Délio Varela came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the IMIRIM FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Délio Varela couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Laerte Arósio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dragões da Fiel's supporters rose to their feet, but Laerte Arósio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeferson do Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. IMIRIM FC's Jeferson do Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save IMIRIM FC from getting a goal against them. Délio Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Samuca Albuquerque hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Samuca Albuquerque struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Rodolfo Gaúcho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IMIRIM FC. IMIRIM FC's Samuca Albuquerque got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 79 minutes, Délio Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IMIRIM FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Délio Varela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodolfo Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuca Albuquerque in the 81st minute of the match. Jeferson do Vale made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Nestor Nogueira sent off a good shot on target. David Chaves charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Chaves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd match minute, IMIRIM FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Chaves to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Dragões da Fiel booed when IMIRIM FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo da Mata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dragões da Fiel's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
