The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Júlio Valle during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Júlio Valle hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Gilson Coutinho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Armandinho Meireles came out and tried to block the shot, but Gilson Coutinho slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 25th minute. João Vítor de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson Bastos having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, João Vítor de Brito had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nilson Bastos. Jequitahy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Vítor de Brito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Vítor de Brito in the 40th minute of play forced Jequitahy's goalkeeper Nilson Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Padias Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Júlio Valle hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute, Ian Loureiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Manfredo Mendes took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Nilson Bastos to make any attempt to save it. Armandinho Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilson Coutinho in the 81st minute of play. João Vítor de Brito who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Nilson Bastos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jequitahy's Nilson Bastos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Jequitahy from getting a goal against them. Padias Futebol Clube's João Vítor de Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the game, Romário do Valle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jequitahy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Padias Futebol Clube the free kick. In the 93rd match minute, Jequitahy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romário do Valle to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 97 minutes into the game, when Natanael Toledo put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jequitahy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 97th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Nilson Bastos, was totally fooled by Padias Futebol Clube's Virgílio Vasconcelos, who 100 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The Jequitahy supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Padias Futebol Clube's performance. The match ended with a win for Padias Futebol Clube.
