Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. João Vítor de Brito started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute of the match, Olívio Paes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Armandinho Meireles was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Manfredo Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Vítor de Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Braunal's goal looked a bit too open when Manfredo Mendes came free, but Murillo Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, João Vítor de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Padias Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but João Vítor de Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Murillo Corrêa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 21 played minutes Padias Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Valle. Armandinho Meireles made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Olívio Paes sent off a good shot on target. Paulão Messias kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After 31 played minutes, Padias Futebol Clube's Hudson Saldanha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Murillo Corrêa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Padias Futebol Clube reached it. Padias Futebol Clube's Manfredo Mendes got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Murillo Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfredo Mendes in the 38th minute of play. Manfredo Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murillo Corrêa having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vitório Vides was the one to do the kick off. Murillo Corrêa made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Vítor de Brito in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute Luciano Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armandinho Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute of the match Hudson Saldanha sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Murillo Corrêa skillfully saved the ball. Padias Futebol Clube were furious when Frank Leão was red carded, 67 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 66th minute, one of Padias Futebol Clube:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Padias Futebol Clube. The referee gave Braunal a penalty, 68 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Flavinho Pinho, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Padias Futebol Clube's Armandinho Meireles. 1-0. In the 75th minute of the match Flavinho Pinho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Armandinho Meireles showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Olívio Paes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Armandinho Meireles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 85th match minute, Braunal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. If Manfredo Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Vítor de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Murillo Corrêa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Padias Futebol Clube's Virgílio Vasconcelos shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 93rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Murillo Corrêa but with some difficulty. Murillo Corrêa made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when João Vítor de Brito sent off a good shot on target. João Vítor de Brito in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Murillo Corrêa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Braunal fans cheered their team off the field, for while Padias Futebol Clube had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
