In the 7th minute, Sandro do Nascimento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raimundo Brasil was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The audience was convinced that Iuri Couto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raimundo Brasil was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After 23 minutes, Sandro do Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Japerica and the Damasio players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sandro do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute of the match Rubinho Vergílio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raimundo Brasil skillfully saved the ball. Japerica were winning 1-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luizinho Valle to strike the kick off in the second half. Romeu Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Raimundo Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dênis Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Brasil having to interfere. Ademar Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitório da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute Dênis Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Damasio's Valdir Cabral got a free kick in the 60th minute. After having played for 61 minutes, Ramiro Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Japerica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramiro Tavares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Sandro do Nascimento notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Damasio's Raimundo Brasil. Raimundo Brasil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ademar Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Antônio Carlos Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Japerica's supporters rose to their feet, but Antônio Carlos Brasil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raimundo Brasil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute, Douglas Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raimundo Brasil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandro do Nascimento in the 78th minute. Sandro do Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Brasil having to interfere. Japerica's Ademar Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitório da Fonseca in the 90th minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Dênis Nascimento recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Raimundo Brasil. Dênis Nascimento showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. When the match was over Japerica could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Damasio throughout the match.
