The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Maia to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Nioac's zone, Ciro Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro de Carvalho came out of the goal and Ciro Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro de Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Arce in the 56th minute of the match. A collision led to Nioac getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. André Luís Bezerra hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Diego Arce had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro de Carvalho. Nioac's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Arce was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. David Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Barros in the 69th minute of play forced Nioac's goalkeeper Pedro de Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Diego Arce sped through Nioac's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro de Carvalho. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciro Barros in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro de Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ciro Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro de Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciro Barros's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Nioac's Pedro de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Barros in the 93rd minute of play. Lancante walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
