Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ciro Barros started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Deivid Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diego Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Rafa Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 16 minutes, Váldson Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Irmandade's supporters crossed their fingers, but Váldson Trancoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th minute of the match Irmandade got a corner. Lancante's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Váldson Trancoso ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 19 played minutes Irmandade got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Mazza. Leonel Pavan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Renan Berger. Lancante's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Renan Berger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deivid Seco in the 22nd minute of play. With a little luck, Irmandade's Rafa Fontes got control of the ball when Diego Arce tried to sneak it across the goal line. Irmandade's Rafa Fontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Irmandade from getting a goal against them. Deivid Seco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renan Berger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute of the match Donatello Aguiar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Renan Berger showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Diego Arce came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Lancante fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Arce couldn't finish the play. If Diego Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafa Fontes made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Diego Arce sent off a good shot on target. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Deivid Seco made a kick off. If Diego Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 played minutes Lancante got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano Chaves. Deivid Seco struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Renan Berger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Irmandade. Paulo Meireles charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Meireles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 64 played minutes Lancante got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Meireles. Deivid Seco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renan Berger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lancante's goalkeeper Renan Berger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Lancante booed when Irmandade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Váldson Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diego Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Irmandade's Rafa Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Barros in the 87th minute of play. Irmandade's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
