Décio Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Madureira in the 8th minute of play. Juan Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Gerson de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Décio Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 minutes, Ciro Vasconcelos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ivahy and the São Manuel F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. São Manuel F.C's Décio Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Madureira in the 25th minute of play. Vladimir Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio Cardozo having to interfere. Vladimir Barral in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Décio Cardozo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Vladimir Barral came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Ivahy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vladimir Barral couldn't finish the play. Pedro Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Washington Maciel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Madureira in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Décio Cardozo saved São Manuel F.C from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 64th minute Gerson de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Décio Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Décio Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimir Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 76 minutes, Juan Madureira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ivahy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Madureira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vladimir Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Décio Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Décio Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Barral in the 82nd minute of play. Juan Madureira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Barral in the 85th minute of play forced São Manuel F.C's goalkeeper Décio Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, São Manuel F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Vasconcelos came free, but Décio Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ivahy's Juan Madureira in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Décio Cardozo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vladimir Barral went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Ivahy's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
