Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Flávio Couto's late challenge caught a Canabravao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flávio Couto helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Canabravao booed when Suassurana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrício Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Moisés Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 6 played minutes Suassurana got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Carioca. Frank Hoffmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Luiz Guilherme Tepedino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frank Hoffmann. Suassurana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Guilherme Tepedino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Frank Hoffmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme Tepedino in the 17th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Suassurana's goal looked a bit too open when Moisés Teixeira came free, but Frank Hoffmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osmar Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Adhemar de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adhemar de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrício Sena in the 32nd minute of play. When Luiz Guilherme Tepedino came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Canabravao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Guilherme Tepedino couldn't finish the play. Moisés Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Frank Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabrício Sena in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adhemar de Queiroz saved Canabravao from getting behind. The Suassurana fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Suassurana's Fabrício Sena looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Moisés Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Guilherme Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Frank Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Guilherme Tepedino got free with Frank Hoffmann in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Gilberto Mineiro fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Suassurana's protests and gave Gilberto Mineiro a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Suassurana's Gilberto Mineiro got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute, Moisés Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frank Hoffmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moisés Teixeira's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Luiz Guilherme Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Hoffmann having to interfere. A collision led to Suassurana getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Gilberto Mineiro hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, Luiz Guilherme Tepedino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Canabravao's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrício Sena came free, but Adhemar de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Canabravao's Adhemar de Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osmar Pombal in the 87th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Luiz Guilherme Tepedino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frank Hoffmann.
