Spectators: 6656 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Guilherme Catarinense started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mazinho Cunha in the 4th minute of play forced Heliodora's goalkeeper Cesinha de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Belchior Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heliodora's Cesinha de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belchior Schmidt in the 12th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Mazinho Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itororo's supporters rose to their feet, but Mazinho Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesinha de Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Belchior Schmidt came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Itororo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Belchior Schmidt couldn't finish the play. In the 21st match minute, Itororo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fernando Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Heliodora's goalkeeper Cesinha de Amaral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mazinho Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Cesinha de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Walmir Esteves, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 32 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Fernandinho do Vale was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Fernandinho do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Catarinense in the 34th minute of the match. If Mazinho Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mazinho Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Cesinha de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 played minutes Heliodora got a freekick which was hit by Fred Gerber. In the 49th minute, Mazinho Cunha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cesinha de Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Belchior Schmidt to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Heliodora's goalkeeper Cesinha de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mazinho Cunha. Belchior Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Walmir Esteves sped through Itororo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fernandinho do Vale. After 77 minutes, Chiquinho de Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Heliodora and the Itororo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 86 minutes, Guilherme Catarinense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Heliodora's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guilherme Catarinense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Heliodora's Guilherme Catarinense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernandinho do Vale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, Heliodora's goalkeeper Cesinha de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mazinho Cunha. Itororo's Mazinho Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Heliodora's Cesinha de Amaral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Heliodora from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Heliodora's Cesinha de Amaral got control of the ball when Mazinho Cunha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Heliodora's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
