Josemir Lujambio started the match with the kick off. Gustavo Lucas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Gil Barros made a huge save. 13 minutes into the match, GAMP.FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmo Seco came free, but Alejo Toro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 14 played minutes GAMP.FC got a freekick which was hit by Iakovos Keratzoglou. Gil Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson Barros in the 18th minute of play. After having played for 22 minutes, Josemir Lujambio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GAMP.FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josemir Lujambio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute, Jimeno Seber fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gil Barros, passed just outside the right post. Gil Barros made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Emerson Barros sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th minute, Gustavo Lucas made a precise shot to the right of Gil Barros. Picarra SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emerson Barros in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gil Barros saved Picarra SS from getting behind. Dalmo Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Gil Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson Barros in the 35th minute of play. Alejo Toro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmo Seco in the 38th minute of the match. With a little luck, Picarra SS's Gil Barros got control of the ball when Emerson Barros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Picarra SS's Gil Barros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Picarra SS from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Picarra SS's zone, Gustavo Lucas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Barros came out of the goal and Gustavo Lucas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the game, Picarra SS's Dalmo Seco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alejo Toro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Pedro Aguiar to strike the kick off in the second half. When Célio Alcântara fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GAMP.FC's protests and gave Célio Alcântara a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Pedro Aguiar got free with Alejo Toro in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. GAMP.FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aílton Tasso in the 64th minute. A nice corner shot did that Aílton Tasso got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gil Barros quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josemir Lujambio in the 70th minute of play forced Picarra SS's goalkeeper Gil Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Josemir Lujambio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gustavo Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Luís Gustavo Bastos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Júnior Leme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Picarra SS's José Paulo Cosme got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Décio Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Pedro Aguiar got free with Alejo Toro in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alejo Toro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Júnior Leme in the 95th minute.
