After a defensive mix-up in Jaboticaba EC's zone, Umberto da Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles de Almeida came out of the goal and Umberto da Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André Luiz Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Lopez having to interfere. Ciro Lopez was a little too slow when Paulão Vides got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 2-1. With a little luck, GePeTaPa's Ciro Lopez got control of the ball when Gerson Mandrak tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aloísio Fernandes charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aloísio Fernandes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th match minute, GePeTaPa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aloísio Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Marco Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jaboticaba EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Vinhas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Cássio Abraão was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 62 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, one of Jaboticaba EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jaboticaba EC. When the match had been going on for 63 minutes, GePeTaPa's Manoel Toledo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Charles de Almeida. After a rather tough play, Jaboticaba EC's Marco Vinhas got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 69thth minute of the game Reynaldo Simões who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jaboticaba EC's Charles de Almeida was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cauã Valle charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 85th minute, Umberto da Rocha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Charles de Almeida was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. After 89 played minutes Jaboticaba EC got a freekick which was hit by Cauã Valle. After 94 played minutes Jaboticaba EC got a freekick which was hit by Paulão Vides. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
